Privacy
Arbol Form is made by Arbol Micro LLC. It has no accounts. This page says what leaves your computer and your phone, and why.
This website
When you ask to join the iPhone beta, we keep your first and last name, your email address, your answer to how you heard about Arbol Form, the date, and the country your request came from. We send you one email to confirm your request, through Resend, an email delivery service, and we enter your name and email in Apple's TestFlight, which emails your invite. We use them for nothing else, and we don't sell or share them. Ask us to delete them at any time at form@arbolmicro.com.
To slow down floods of requests, we briefly keep a scrambled form of your network address, which can't be turned back into the address, and delete it within a day. The form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a script, is sending it.
We count visits without cookies. For each page view we keep the page, the site that linked to it, your country, and whether you're on a phone or a computer. To count visitors, we keep a code made from your network address and browser with a key that changes every day and is deleted the next, so visits can't be traced back to you or linked from one day to the next. We also count downloads of the app. The site has no ads or trackers.
Usage statistics
Arbol Form on your computer sends anonymous usage statistics unless you turn them off in Settings › About › Usage statistics. Turned off, nothing is counted or sent, and what wasn't sent yet is dropped.
It sends at most one report a day, holding Arbol Form's version, the operating system and its version, the processor type, the language, the KiCad version, and how many times each feature was used that day. A report never holds files, designs, part or net names, chat text, prompts, file paths, project or computer names, network addresses, or keys. Each report has its own random id, and there is no install or user id, so reports can't be tied to each other or to you.
Reports go to Aptabase, an analytics service that processes them for Arbol Micro LLC on its US servers. Aptabase doesn't store IP addresses. Setting DO_NOT_TRACK=1 or ARBOLFORM_NO_USAGE=1 where Arbol Form runs turns usage statistics off on that computer.
What else goes online
- Agents. A chat sends what its agent reads, including your design files, to that agent's provider, under your own account and that provider's terms. Arbol Form doesn't see or keep your agents' credentials.
- Datasheets. When you or an agent give a datasheet's link, Arbol Form downloads it.
- Installs. When you choose Install in Setup, Arbol Form downloads that program from its maker.
- Remote connections. Off until you allow them in Settings › Remote. Then Arbol Form listens on your network for the devices you pair. Nothing is opened to the internet.
- The iPhone app. It looks for Arbol Form on your network and talks only to the computer you pair it with. It collects nothing and sends nothing elsewhere.
